Love pastrami sandwich!!! The best in NJ. We drive 45 minutes without traffic to eat their pastrami sandwich!!! That's how good it is!

A must see! Stop in the Pub to get great food and service! Large portions, and trophies on the walls. Enjoy there 2 large fireplaces!!

This place is a huge open space with lots of tables. The ambience is quite gamey with lots of animal heads on the walls including a giraffe and a lion, all real. They are cash only and plates are substantial. Sea food is their specialty but very pub like. Most sandwiches are quite greasy.

Grilled chicken was dry, and restaurant would not serve tap water. Had to buy bottles despite being a large group all ordering food and drinks. What kind of restaurant doesn’t offer tap water to paying customers?

Steak was good, however the vegetables were inedible. The dining room was too bright. My son loved his steak sandwich.

Today I went with a group and the servers were very rude. The girl that also acts as the daytime bartender isn't nice at all. She kept saying "I only have two hands" if you asked for a napkin or straw. Overrated and low class. I can afford to eat at a nicer place.

Been coming to Pub 199 for the past 18 years. The food is excellent, the staff are fantastic, good selection of beers, draft and bottles. Excellent sea food, best in the county and surrounding area. Be sure to bring cash! No cards are accepted!

Be aware that this is a cash only establishment. Large and spacious. Quick service, family friendly. This place filled up pretty quickly. They have a simple & uncomplicated menu. Generous portions. Decent prices. Not super fancy. Drinks served in plastic cups. Downside - no dessert menu. Also, for those against hunting, this is Not the place for you! You will be surrounded by hunt trophies placed all along the walls.

Great place but cost has gone up over the yrs

Ignore the cafeteria style seating, and focus on some of the best seafood around, at prices up to half what you would find at trendier spots in manhattan. Beer choices for everyone, very nice staff. I'll be sure to be back soon.

They ran out of clams which was unfortunate. They ran out of grilled chicken. I had the veal parm sandwich and it was just okay. I would call ahead and make sure they have what you want before you make the trip.

Seafood here is very fresh and tasty. It is also properly the lowest price you will see around the area. They are cash only but it doesn't matter. Just bring cash.

Love the casual happy atmosphere. Not so much all the animal trophies that include a giraffe head and a rhino. Reasonable actually unheard of price for lobster and potato.

Pub 199 is our favorite restaurant. Always get the king crab legs, dozen clams and baked potato. They never disappoint. Drinks are strong and delicious. Fast and friendly service.

Drove an hour and a half just to have lunch here. Had 2 dozen clams and the king crab legs. Good stuff.

Had dinner there last night with 11 guests. After we paid the $496 bill plus of $70 tip, one of the guests asked for a simple glass of water. They were told in no uncertain terms that they would only be sold a small bottle of water for $2.50.

I frequent this unique restaurant every couple of days as I like the special air that is part of this restaurant. The crew is extremely cordial and experienced. The service is extraordinarily efficient. Also, the food they cook is magnificent. I came many times and I was always happy. The expense is honest. I recommend this place to my friends and family.

The IRS should definitely check this place out. Unbelievable they don’t take credit cards and is a cash only business. Don’t tell you until they hand you the check. Will never return.

We use to eat here allot but after tonight we'll pass. It was the worst meal I've ever had. $72.00 later and I'm still hungry. The chicken was dry and VERY crunchy, the veal parm was gross and the steak sandwich was nothing but grease and the clams were overcooked. This place is the pits.

Fantastic place for seafood. Came here many times when i was younger. Place changed (old building burned down) but new building is great. I do however believe in this day and age credit cards should be accepted. Make sure to bring cash.

Illegally forces you to buy a $2.50 bottle of water, do not recommend and suggest people report them to the ABC.

This restaurant is my first choice site. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to that place. when I I need a good supper, this is the place that comes straightaway to my head. fresh and food and a large list of dishes.well mannered staff, and pleasant mood. Also important, the price is reasonable. I tell about this restaurant with pleasure.

Great food, not happy about no coffee.

Food was okay, husband had the clams with t-bone steak it didn't have that much flavor, clams were good. I had the basket of fries chicken and it was really good. Service was awful. Our waitress was clueless ask for napkins twice, never got them asked for a coke, never got it. Asked for the check, we had to go up to the bar in order to get it. The whole deal with the waitress made the our experience at pub 199 not pleasant, this was a Saturday at 3pm restaurant wasn't crowded at all.

Fantastic seafood, great prices, pitches of beer. The atmosphere is like a giant dining hall, so don't expect a lot of ambience. You go here with a group for the great food, fun times and attentive staff. Never had a bad meal there.

Best bang for the buck! Fresh lobster and affordable price

Pub 199 has been a favorite for years. The lobster and king Crab are my personal favorites however my Dad loves the Steak and decor.. It is a hunters paradise with mounts from around the world.. Large sports bar as well and always a roaring fire in the beautiful fireplace..

I used to love this place...awesome prices and awesome food. Seems in recent years the service has gotten really bad, the prices went up and the food quality went down. Bummer!

This was a delicious meal my family owns a restaurant and this was exceptionable food fresh lobster and very good baked potato also the price is really good entertaining wall with several animals and fish also the service was exceptional

Lobster was disgusting. Chicken wings were tiny. Cash only is inconvenient. Lousy food and way too loud inside. Won't be back for sure. Skip it! Do not recommend at all.

Delicious food, it makes up for the slower service, both the surf and the turf are great options! It's a bit pricey, and cash only which is something different these days.
